Dans la nuit du 31 octobre au 1er novembre, nuit hors du temps selon le vieux mythe celte, l'invisible cloison qui sépare l'humain du surnaturel cède, et les deux mondes se confondent. C'est la Toussaint dans un petit village sur une île de Bretagne. Des chevaliers du moyen-âge surgissent et galopent dans la lande. Seuls deux vieillards de l'île ont encore la mémoire du passé et savent qu'une malédiction a frappé cette terre il y a mille ans: des pêcheurs ont refusé de livrer une jeune femme enceinte condamnée à mourir par le feu et par l'eau. Depuis, aux jours sombres de novembre, l'île est secouée par un mal étrange...
