Paul Drouin (Daniel Pilon) est journaliste. Un de ses bons amis se suicide dans des circonstances étranges. Convaincu que les apparences cachent autre chose, il enquête sur son ami et son entourage, et il devient obsédé par une vieille dame qu’il voit sur toutes les photos prises sur les lieux de l’accident. La maîtresse de son ami, Virginie Leroux (Danielle Ouimet), a hérité de sa boutique d’antiquités, spécialisée notamment dans l’occultisme à haut prix si on écoute bien les dialogues.
